Refund & Returns Policy

At Commando Camping, we are committed to providing quality rooftop tents, awnings, and camping accessories. If you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase, we’re here to help. This policy outlines your rights and our obligations under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL), as well as the terms under which we offer refunds, returns, and exchanges.
1. Australian Consumer Guarantees
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
2. Returns for Faulty or Damaged Products
We will accept a return and provide a full refund, exchange, or repair (as appropriate) if:

The product is faulty or not as described;

The product is damaged during shipping;

The product has a major failure under ACL.
To initiate a return for a faulty or damaged item:

Email us at sales@commandocamping.com.au within 48 hours of receiving the item.

Provide a description of the issue and photographic evidence of the fault or damage.

We will assess your claim and, if approved, provide instructions for return shipping or rectification.
3. Change of Mind Policy
We understand that sometimes you may change your mind. We offer returns for change of mind on a discretionary basis if the following conditions are met:

You contact us within 30 days of delivery;

The item is unused, uninstalled, and in brand-new condition;
-
The product is returned in its original packaging with all parts and accessories;

You provide proof of purchase (receipt or order number).
Please note:

Return shipping costs for change of mind are the customer’s responsibility;
-
Original shipping charges are non-refundable;
-
A restocking fee may apply (typically 10–15%) for bulky items such as rooftop tents and awnings.
Commando Camping reserves the right to refuse returns that do not meet these conditions.
4. Exclusions (Non-Returnable Items)
We do not accept returns for:

Items that have been used, installed, or damaged after delivery; Including damaged box from unboxing

Custom-made, modified, or clearance items;
-
Gift cards or promotional vouchers;

Any return requested outside the specified timeframes.
5. Refund Method
Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you via email. If approved, your refund will be processed using the original payment method. Please allow up to 5–10 business days for the refund to appear, depending on your payment provider.
6. Return Shipping Instructions
Once your return request is approved:

We will provide you with the return address and shipping instructions;

We recommend using a trackable shipping service and retaining proof of postage;

Commando Camping is not liable for returns lost or damaged in transit.
7. Warranty Claims
Some of our products include a manufacturer’s warranty. If your item develops a fault outside the initial return window, please contact us at sales@commandocamping.com.au and we’ll assist you through the warranty process.
